Backup and disaster recovery

Protect important information and plan how to get back to work. We provide Microsoft 365 and system backup services, recovery testing and disaster recovery plans shaped around your business.

Know what you can recover

A successful backup job is one part of the picture. You also need to know what it covers, how far back you can go and what it takes to restore a working service.

Microsoft 365 backup

Back up the Microsoft 365 information your organisation needs to retain. We agree the accounts and workloads in scope, retention periods, access and how restores will be handled.

Computer and server backup

Protect agreed files and systems with a setup suited to your environment. We review the tools and protection already in place before recommending a change.

Recovery testing

Check that selected data or systems can be restored and used. Agree the test, record the result and identify gaps in access, equipment, instructions or the time needed to recover.

Disaster recovery planning

Document what needs restoring first, which systems depend on one another and who takes responsibility. Build a new plan or improve an existing one around the disruption your business can tolerate.

A backup needs a recovery plan

We work through the practical decisions before you need to rely on the service. The scope reflects your systems, budget and existing arrangements.

Agree the priorities

Identify the information and services people rely on. Agree how much work could be lost between backups and how long each service could be unavailable.

Configure and verify

Set up the agreed protection and check a recovery route. Confirm retention, storage, access and any equipment or supplier involvement needed to restore service.

Keep the plan usable

Agree who monitors backup jobs, follows up failures and reviews the plan. Set the scope and frequency of recovery tests, including checks after significant changes.

Where OneDrive fits

OneDrive folder protection can be a useful, low-cost starting point for supported user folders, particularly when it is included in your Microsoft 365 licence.

Protect files from device loss

We can configure supported folders to sync to OneDrive so their files remain available if a laptop fails or is replaced. We check what is actually syncing and explain which files and applications remain outside that protection.

Understand the recovery limits

Changes and deletions can sync too. OneDrive folder protection is not a full computer backup or a separate backup copy. We assess its recovery options alongside your retention needs and whether an additional backup service is appropriate.

Plan for the wider disruption

Recovery also depends on power, internet access, working devices and the people involved. Your recovery plan should connect with the wider arrangements for keeping essential work running.

Can you review our existing backups?

Yes. We can review the agreed setup, identify what is protected and carry out scoped recovery tests. Existing tools may still be suitable; the findings determine what needs to change.

How quickly could we recover?

That depends on the affected systems, data volume, available equipment and the recovery method. We agree targets during planning and use tests to check the assumptions and practical limits.

Make recovery a practical plan

Tell us what you use today, what is already backed up and which services you could least afford to lose. We can scope a review, a backup service or a recovery plan.
